One more page

We had a snow day today.  It has been snowing all day long.  It is beautiful outside.  Not sure yet if there will be school tomorrow, but they haven’t plowed our street all day, so…

That is a picture of the tree in front of our house.  The two cars parked across the street, at least one of them is in the fire lane… hope we don’t have an emergency.

I haven’t done very much today, but stitch.  I only have one my page of the project to go and I will be finished!  I have already started stitching on the last page but haven’t taken a picture yet.

The Well fits! The border doesn’t line up the way it is suppose to, but the Well fits in the space, so I am happy with that.  I had to do some stitching and frogging and re-stitching on the Globe to get it to fit right.  After the Well I only have one more page of mofits to stitch.  And yes, my fingers are crossed that all goes well with it.  I had hoped to be finished with this project by the end of the year (2010)… I am shooting for the end of the month now, but not sure I will make it.

We had a great time on our weekend get a way snowtubing and snow shoeing.  However, we got a call early morning the day we were coming back and had to rush back because our dog bit a groomer when she came in to get her.  We were totally surprised by this because she is a very sweet dog and it very friendly.  I spoke with the vet, who knows her well and she said she is highly stressed so it isn’t unusal for this behavior.  They will still board them but we will be stressed out as to how her behavior is while there.

Lizzie*Kate has a couple of patterns coming out soon that I have to get.  One of them I haven’t even seen but just by the title I know I want it… 100 Years From Now. I think it will be a perfect teacher gift.  ABC’s of Parenting is a kit that I am in love with and am already making plans to SAL with a friend on this one.

So I finished stitching the border… I am off and it doesn’t match up, but this goes back to the area I had to fudge because I couldn’t figure out where it was off before.  I am hoping that it works out still in the end, but here is my issue with Bent Creek… the “already stitched” area that shows on the next chart and helps you place where to stitch is so messed up it is unbelievable.  I really like Bent Creek, but this is a major mess up and I am trying to figure out just who is proofing their charts before they go to print.

With that said, here is where I am as of tonight.

My Unfinished Projects

So I pulled out everything I could remember that is unfinished and sitting in my stitching corner collecting dust due to the long slump I went through last year.  My goals this year include working on ATS and finishing Cirque des Cercles & one of the other projects from this pile.  I hope I can actually do it.  I know it doesn’t sound like a large feat, but let’s face it… I am a slow stitcher and my priority right now is finishing Snapperbets (already way behind where I thought I would be) and LHN’s The Library.

The Road to a friend's house designed by Sandra Cozzolino

Ezmeralda's House designed by Brightneedle

Baby's Arrival designed by Designs by Gloria & Pat

Hana's Spot designed by The Drawn Thread

Cirque des Cercles designed by Ink Circles

Summer Joy and Autumn Thanks designed by Sisters & Best Friends

I included the two finished pieces above because I would like to stitch the other two in the series… Spring Glory and Winter Peace.

I have been thinking about my stitching goals for 2011.  I usually make a stitching list that I can never put a dent into, so this year I really am going to make is short and sweet.  Anything else I start and finish will be considered a bonus, but these are the things I would most like to accomplish this year.
 My list….
  1. Finish Snapperbets
  2. Start & finish The Library
  3. Finish Circus of Circles
  4. Start Red Thread Snappers
  5. Stitch on ATS (And They Sinned)
  6. Finish at list one other UFO (list to be posted at a later date)

On a non-stitching related goal for the year list… PURGE!  We have to much stuff, so I will be spending the year cleaning out closets and rooms either donating or throwing things out.  I am looking forward to this even though it will be a long process.  I must also work on not keeping everything that doesn’t need to be kept.

My second goal is to continue working out 5-6 days a week maintaining my weight loss from last year.  I might even work on dropping just five to seven more pounds putting me at what I have always thought would be my ideal weight even way back when I thought I needed to put on a few pounds instead of losing them.

Yesterday, Sean decided to hang some pictures we had gotten in WDW.  I love how it looks.  This huge space is a wall above the stairs going into our lower level… we have a split entry home.

And the other day we went to Hershey Chocolate World and the Hershey outlets.  We found an outlet for White House/Black Market where I got four dresses, a skirt and a blouse for what a blouse & skirt usually cost.  We also stopped into the Coach Outlet where I got the least expensive purse I think I have ever gotten there.  We saw this same purse at Lord & Taylor on NYE for $130 ish and I paid half that.

I am in the process of my Year of the Purge and have a discovered I have two the the chart below.  So I have decided to have a give away here on my blog.  If you are interested, leave a comment on this post.  I will draw a winner on January 7th.

I plan on having random give aways this year as I find other duplicate charts or charts that I don’t think I will ever stitch.  So become a follower and keep checking back!
