So last Wednesday I took the last Bactrim that I had been prescribed and went to bed. On Thursday Sean stopped by the store and picked up some over the counter flu medicine and I took it. It helped me feel better though I noticed my face seemed a bit red which I thought was brought on by having a fever. Later in the day after taking a second dose I noticed that my neck and chest looked like I had been out in the sun to long. So I stopped taking it because I figured it was an allergic reaction. By the evening, my entire body was bright red, and I was itching.
Friday Sean stopped and got some Benadryl. After the second dose did nothing, I called the doctor. Of course, they had no appointments available so I had to go to the Urgent Care center. I was having an allergic reaction and they gave me a steroid shot and a prescription for 5 days of steroids to continue taking with the Benadryl. I am starting to think that the whole flu-like symptoms were a sign of an allergic reaction for the antibiotics.
I was still red yesterday when I got up but felt so much better. Then I took Daisy out and when I was walking up the stairs I felt this pang in my back, mentioned to Sean that it felt like a Charlie horse. Two minutes later the pain was so bad that I was bent over and couldn’t stand up straight. I ended up on the sofa for the rest of the day unable to sit up or stand. Doing much better today. I am hoping new week… new start. Keeping my fingers crossed. I am tired of lying around and doing nothing, going nowhere. And my house is a mess. It needs some serious cleaning, so I have to get to it this week. I just can’t stand it anymore.
I haven’t been stitching much this week. I had hope to spend the day yesterday stitching but well, the best laid plans and all. Here is where I am now with The Library.
