This is going to be hard.  Back in September I posted 30 Things and I am going to try really hard to give 10 whole new things you might not know about me.

1.  I consider myself a picky eater but I am willing to try almost anything once as long as I know what it is that I am eating.

2.  When I was in high school I wanted to be a teacher or a social worker.

3.  I have body image issues and I am trying to not pass that on to my daughter.

4.  I regret not having another child.  This is something that is both our decision and not.

5.  I am a Republican and a Christian.  I do not believe it is my place to say who a person can love and if they should be allow to marry or not, or what a woman can and can’t do with her body.

6.  I don’t like to stitch based on the season.  If I want to stitch a project in the winter that is themed for the summer or Halloween at Christmas time, I will.

7.  With the exception of a couple of courses, I didn’t go to college.  Another regret.

8.  When I married my husband I had planned on taking his name and dropping my maiden name.  However, when the time came to do that I decided to hyphenate legally because I felt my maiden name was a gift since I was adopted and couldn’t let it go.

9.  I don’t ever want to live without a dog as part of our family, but I am pretty sure I will never have three again.

10.  I do not think that I have been a good daughter, niece, sister, aunt, friend, wife or mother.

Late last Wednesday night, my friends and I piled into a car to drive down to Orlando, FL for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend.  We had a lot of laughs on the car ride down.  Apparently when I am overly tired every thing makes me laugh until I cry.  We got to our hotel in the early afternoon, checked in and headed to downtown Disney for a bite to eat.

On Friday morning, Wendy’s husband left early for a day at the park and Wendy & I headed to breakfast and the expo.  We picked up our packets and spent the early afternoon checking out the expo.

I exchanged a charm I got at the Diva Expo for this one… I love it!

Ready for the race to start

I earned the Wine & Dine Half Marathon medal!

I beat my time at the Tink which was 2:31:23

Since Wendy and I ran the Tink in January, we did receive our Coast 2 Coast Medal as well.

I like to give a shout out to my friend, Wendy, because the week before the race while we were out on a training run she fractured her ankle…. and still was able to earn her medal!  She rocks for so many reasons but this reason also shows that she is one tough and determined woman! So very proud of her.

I finished this quick little stitch and thought I had posted it via my phone but I guess it didn’t actually post.  I haven’t a clue what to do with it now that it is finished, but stitching brought me out of my little slump.

I started this one last year, and put it aside.  After finishing Glad Tidings I pulled it back out and have been enjoying stitching on it.

I finally got my medals engraved.  I have them hanging on the back of the door in our fitness room.  I’ve got other plans for them then just hanging on the back of the door.
