Show off

I wrote about going to Disneyland this month and running both the brand new 10K and the Half Marathon for a second time.  Disney didn’t offer this a challenge… meaning there wasn’t a third medal given to those running both races.

While at the Wine & Dine expo in November, we saw the below medal hanger and I knew I was going to want it, so while at the Tink expo I ordered one and it arrived yesterday.

Next month I will be heading down to WDW with my friend and we will be running in the Princess Half Marathon weekend running the 10K and Half but earning a third medal… The Glass Slipper challenge medal.  But also receiving a special Coast to Coast medal, which will be added to this hanger.  Hopefully, Sean will be able to hang this one and my Magic Miles hangers this weekend.

Last Thursday my friend and I boarded a plane bight and early to head to California and Disneyland to run the Tinker Bell 10K and Half Marathon.  After checking into our hotel we headed over to the expo for packet pick up.  We got our shirts and bib numbers for the 10K

and for the Half Marathon.

We got up Saturday morning, got dressed and headed to the starting line.

I finished the 10K in 1:02:57

Sunday was another even earlier wake up time, but we got up, got ready and headed to the start line.

This was a rough race for me.  I think because of the day before so I had to walk some, something I didn’t have to do at the Wine & Dine in November and for the first time I had to make a pit stop.  My official time was 2:27:29

So after running 19.3 this weekend, I now have added these two beauties to my collection.

Next up…. The Princess Glass Slipper Challenge in WDW.

A quick note

Oh my goodness! Where has the year already gone? Not much to say right now.

I have been stitching some but not making a ton of progress. I have been reading a lot lately. I am cookie mom for my daughter’s Girl Scout Troop so that has been taking up some time. And today I have been packing. Tomorrow my friend and I are heading back out to California to run both the brand new Tinker Bell 10K on Saturday and then the Half Marathon on Sunday.

2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,100 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 18 trips to carry that many people.
